May Spirit guide us . . .

“Work, stress & isolation were affecting my mental and physical health. Through Manifest’s yoga & meditation classes, I’ve really found peace and a connection with the flow of my life. I’ve even quit smoking!”

“Love is the triumph of imagination over intelligence.”
–H.L. Mencken

Because our mission is to empower men to work and play together to meet their needs for fun, intimacy/friendship, community, and wellness, we encourage you to let us know what kinds of activities you’d like – so we can hook you up with other men who have similar interests and want to create an event or on-going activity that you’d enjoy. We’re looking for men who’d like to do things like: ultimate Frisbee; smoke/drug/alcohol-free dances; board games; needlework class/quilting bee; queer arts collaborative group; touch football; movie/popcorn night; storytelling group; writers group; book reading/discussion group; etc. We believe queer people created our community, and we have the power to recreate it to promote individual & collective wellness.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.”

– Marianne Williamson
